The community joins its sister properties, the exquisite Icon South Beach and chic, lavish Icon Brickell, and is constructed on one of the last plots of land on the Miami Bayfront and is a 400 feet waterfront between Brickell Financial District, Downtown Miami and the Design and Arts District. The condo community is on Biscayne Bay and provides a urban retreat with a resort style that is both within the city limits and on the waterfront.

  • 1, 2 and 3 bedroom homes
  • Units ranging in square footage from 928 to 1530

Oleta River State Park is Florida’s largest urban park, located on Biscayne Bay in the Miami metropolitan area. The park offers several recreational activities, but is best known for its extensive bicycling trails, which can accommodate novice bikers, experienced cyclists, and everyone in between.

At the north end of the park along the Oleta River, there is a mangrove forest that features beautiful wildlife and plants that are native to the state of Florida. There are also nine pavilions that guests can visit free of charge; all the pavilions have water, and the biggest pavilion has electricity. If you want to stay at the park overnight, you can reserve an air-conditioned cabin or make reservations for your group to stay at the campground. Oleta River State Park is located at 3400 NE 163rd St. off of I-95.

Swimming and Rollerblading

While you’re at the park, you can enjoy the beach and take some time to go swimming. There is a saltwater lagoon off Biscayne Bay; however, lifeguards are not there, so visitors swim at their own risk. Public showers are on the premises.

In addition to the bike trails, park guests can also go roller blading on the paved trails. Since the park is very concerned at the safety of its guests, there is a helmet loaner system if you forget your cycling or rollerblade helmet.

Kayaking, Canoeing and Fishing

You can also enjoy kayaking and canoeing in the Oleta River. There are several routes you can take during your canoeing or kayaking adventure as you sail close to the mangrove trails to get a closer look at all the beautiful vegetation that the park has to offer. While you’re on the water, you can go fishing at the pier. The fish are also biting at the shores of the park along the Intracoastal Waterway.

Restaurant and Concession

When you’re ready to grab a bit to eat, you can head over to the Blue Marlin Fish House, located just outside the park at 2500 NE 163rd Street. When you want to rent a canoe, kayak, paddleboards or mountain bikes, you can rent these items from the BlueMoon Outdoor Center. The Center also sells bait for fishing and snacks to give you energy between your outdoor excursions.

The Oleta River is, of course, the main feature of the park. The river has attracted people to the area since 500 BC, when the area was a camping site for the Tequesta Indians. The area is also where U.S. troops fought in 1841 during the Second Seminole War. The Oleta River has a rich history that continues to draw several visitors every year.

South of the causeway is Cruise Ship Alley which just might get you in the mood to head out on a water excursion of your own.

Downtown Miami is home to Bayside Marketplace, a festival marketplace. The location is between Bayfront Park on the south and the American Airlines Arena on the north, and wraps also the Biscayne Bay banks.

The complex opened in 1987 during a major real estate boom. Instead of being constructed to revitalize a targeted area like many of its sister properties, Bayside complements the marina, which was already in place. The shopping center was often featured on the popular TV series Miami Vice.

About 15 million people visit Bayside Marketplace every year. It is serviced by the Metrorail at the Government Center, and is directly next to the Metromover at College/Bayside station. General Growth Properties, based in Chicago, owns and manages Bayside Marketplace.

The Marketplace is a wonderful shopping experience for anyone who works and lives in downtown Miami. It is located on Biscayne Boulevard which is just south of the American Airlines Area and has some of the greatest stores.

Entertainment and Shopping

Several shops like GNC, Bath & Body Works, Brookstone, Perfumania, Gap and Baby Gap, Foot Locker, Game Stop, Express, Victoria’s Secret and the Disney store are located at the Bayside Marketplace, which means there’s something for everyone.

Restaurants

You’ll find just about any food you want at the Marketplace, including Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Hard Rock Café, Chili’s, Lombardi’s and Los Ranchos. Bubba Gump Shrimp Company not only serves several varieties of shrimp, but provides Southern classics like baby back ribs, as well as fresh fish entrees and homemade desserts. The restaurant is also proud to offer a gluten free menu for those who suffer from gluten intolerance or celiac disease. Hard Rock Café is the place to eat if you love smoked ribs or juicy burgers. Lombardi’s satisfies your craving for Italian food; you can delicious meals like oven-baked pizza and homemade gelato for dessert. There’s also a food court with Asian fare, along with chicken and seafood.

Bayside Marketplace is also home to quality live entertainment. Let’s Make a Daiquiri is located at the Marina Stage and provides tasty cocktails you can enjoy while you take in the sounds of live bands and singers. Off the Hookah is another ideal location for live music; you can also enjoy Mediterranean and Japanese fare, along with Happy Hour specials.
